Everyday Dim Sum

Steamers Asian Street Bistro draws inspiration from the Chinese tradition of dim sum, which means "touch the heart". All across China, city streets bustle with local dumpling houses serving dim sum at all hours of the day. The local dumpling house is a lively gathering place where villagers come to enjoy a comforting meal, warm themselves with a cup of hot tea and catch up with friends.

They begin arriving in the early morning sipping tea, reading newspapers and munching on steamed buns served piping hot from bamboo steamers. Throughout the day, these towering stacks of hot steamers tantalize the senses with sumptuous varieties of dumpling and buns. Customers simply walk up to the steamers and point to their favorite dim sum treats, and they are served right in front of their eyes. The aromas of steaming dumplings and tea, the diverse tastes and textures, and the visual harmony of the presentation are all at the heart of the dim sum experience.

A dim sum meal is never complete without a steaming cup of hot tea. In fact, dim sum is the only Chinese meal where tea is enjoyed with the food, rather than before or afterwards. The subtle, soothing aromas of full-leaf tea are the perfect complement to the bold flavors of the food.
